Back to the 90's . Goth Lips

artigo original . original article by me

It seems like the 90's are back, at least when it comes to make-up. The wine coloured lips, so popular in that decade are invading the runway, red carpets and even the streets all over the world.
The Goth hues are making way on the midst of bright pink, coral and even nude lips, all this Spring trends.
We can put the "blame" of this comeback on the well known make-up artist Pat McGrath, who painted the models' lips on these tones for the Spring 2012 Balenciaga runway show. Later, on the Fall shows this colour was present once again and, recently, it has been the colour chosen by many stars for the red carpet.
Contrary to the 90's, now goth lips are combined with a clean natural skin with just a little of mascara, much like the femme fatale of a film noir.

Style Crush . Eleonora Carisi

It's been a while since I introduced to you one of my "Style Crush", so this Sunday is dedicated to another one of my style inspirations, this time an Italian, Eleonora Carisi.
Eleonora is one of the favourite targets of many streetstyle photographers, she's the owner of a fabulous blog, Jou Jou Villeroy and a store in Turin called You!, she collaborates with Grazia.it and Vice magazine, besides working in projects with brands like Diesel and Galeries Lafayette.
She creates outfits that stand out by their originality, mixing colours and textures in an extraordinary way. One of her biggest inspirations right now, according to her, is the Italian fashion of the 50's and Marcello Mastroianni and Sophia Loren's movies, which is pretty noticeable in many of her looks.

Prada at Cannes

Fashion is present at Cannes and not only on the stunning dresses and suits from the stars at the South of France, but also on film.
Prada surprised  everyone by presenting a short film of only 3minutes and a half directed by the controversial and acclaimed director Roman Polanski and starring Helena Bonham Carter and Ben Kingsley.
The short film is called "A Therapy" and it's fun and quirky and leads us in a very entertaining way to the final message.

DIY . Chain Camera Strap

Usually I'm not much of a DIY girl, I mean, I love to see them, but then my laziness gets the best of me and I never really do them.
But seeing this DIY on " a pair and a spare " blog, I have to say I'm anxious to go buy a chain, glue and whatever I need to start making my new chain camera strap.
The result is almost as if you're carrying a purse on your shoulder, and the best is that it's super easy to do.
I'm going to try it out, what about you?

Lau

You need (precisam):
- 2 m of strong but lightweight bronze chain (you don't want to double the weight of your camera!)
- 2 sliplock buckles (I used the ones that came on my nikon strap)
- 50cm of strong nylon webbing
- E6000 glue
- Scissors

1. Cut the nylon webbing in half.

 2. Slide one end of the nylon webbing through the camera strap holder on the camera.

3. On the outer lower half of the nylon webbing, thread one of the sliplock buckles

4. Fold the chain in half and slide the two loose ends onto the nylon webbing.

5. Double the nylon webbing over and pass back through the sliplock buckle.

6. Thread the other loose end through the sliplock buckle and reinforce both ends with E6000 glue

7. Press down to dry and feel free to reinforce the glue with some hand stitches through the webbing. Finally, repeat this process for the other end of the strap.

Peter Pan Gold Collar

The Cannes Film Festival doesn't introduce to us just good movies but also great fashion.
This 11 days festival has just started, there's still much to come, but taking into account the first 2 days filled with stunning looks, it looks quite promising!
In this city located in the South of France, the artistic, joie de vivre ambiance invokes its visitors to take bigger chances when going to photo calls and the red carpet, contrary to what happens on the Oscars when many times they prefer to play it safe. At Cannes, everything goes!
