PARIS . A WALK THROUGH CHAMPS ELYSÉES

Todas as atenções estão viradas para Londres neste momento, mas as minhas continuam concentradas em Paris.
Passado uma longa semana de trabalho consegui finalmente sentar-me e relembrar os bons momentos passados nesta cidade. As fotografias neste post são bastantes, mas simplesmente não conseguia reduzir mais a seleção, com tantos lugares maravilhosos que registei.


All the attention is now focused in London, but mine are still very much in Paris.
After a long and exhaustive week at work I finally managed to sit down and go down memory lane to some of many good moments I spent in this city. There are many photos in this post, I kept it very visual, I simply couldn't narrow down the selection with so many wonderful places I photographed.

PARIS DAY 1 . LET'S START WITH TOUR EIFFEL

C'est fini.

Já estou de volta de Paris e sem dúvida com bastantes saudades daqueles cenários maravilhosos.

No primeiro dia chegamos por volta da hora de almoço e começamos com a tipica mas indispensável visita à Torre Eiffel, com uma subida ao topo. Paisagens de perder a vista, mas deixo um conselho a quem ainda não tiver visitado e estiver a pensar ir: visitem a Torre Eiffel e subam à noite, têm uma vista melhor. 

Depois de um merecido descanso nos jardins de Champs de Mars continuamos a visita pelo Musée de l'Armée e Hotel des Invalides até à ponte mais bonita da cidade, a Pont Alexandre III, sempre a pé, que é a melhor forma de visitar, até porque o metro de Paris é medonho (desde os cheiros ao estado de conservação).

I'm back from Paris and without a doubt already missing those stunning sceneries.

On the first day we arrived around luch time and immediately started with a typical yet mandatory visit to the Eiffel Tower, with a ride to the top. Sceneries that took my breath away , but here's an advice for those of you who never visited and are considering it: visit the Eiffel Tower and especially go to the top at nigh, the views are far better.

After a well deserved rest on the Champs de Mars gardens we resumed our visit through Musée de l'Armée and the Invalides Hotel, and the most beautiful bridge in the city, the Alexandre III bridge, always on foot, which is the best way to really visit a place, even because the Paris subway is just awful (from the smell to the conservation).

Já ao final da tarde fomos à zona de Montmartre, ver o famoso Moulin Rouge, subir até ao Sacré Coeur e passear pelas pequenas ruas cheias de cafés, lojas, restaurantes e pintores.
Ver as pessoas reunirem-se ao final do dia e tomarem um copo e dividirem uma refeição ligeira, os cafés repletos de locais e turistas.

Acabamos por jantar por ali e ver o anoitecer numa zona que eu considero ser das mais bonitas de Paris.

Later in the afternoon we went to Montmartre, to see the famous Moulin Rouge, go to the Sacré Coeur and take a stroll through the small streets filled with cafes, stores, restaurants and artists.

See the people come together at the end of the day and have a glass and share a light meal, the cafes full with locals and tourists.

We ended up dining there, watching the night fall on one of the most beautiful areas in Paris in my opinion.

ON HIGHER GROUNDS

Estou oficialmente de férias!! Até custa acreditar...
Mala feita e preparada para ir para o aeroporto rumo ao Sul durante uns dias (poucos mas que de certeza vão saber pela vida).

I'm officially on vacation!! It's even hard to believe...
Bag is packed and I'm ready to set off to the airport with the south as my destination for a few days (just 4 but I'm sure they will feel like heaven).

1. Apostar nos básicos!!
Podemos estar confortáveis sem parecer descuidadas, basta uns skinny jeans e uma t-shirt para começar.
Depois podem devem juntar um casaco (todas sabemos como pode ser frio um aeroporto ou avião), por exemplo, um casaco de pele ou um blazer para um look mais cuidado.

1. Bet on the basics!!
We can be comfortable while traveling without looking careless, it just takes a pair of skinny jeans and a t-shirt for starters.
Then you can should add a jacket (we all know airports and planes can get a little chilly), for example, a cool leather jacket or a blazer for a smarter look.

2. Essencial - uma carteira não muito pequena, onde possam levar todas aquelas coisas de que não nos conseguimos separar durante a viagem, um livro ou uma revista para entreter, ipad, telemóvel, etc...

2. Must take - a bag that's not too small, where you can easily carry all those things you just can't live without while traveling, a book or magazine to pass the time, your ipad, phone, etc...

3. Nos pés, aconselho um calçado mais confortável, de preferência rasos para estar mais à vontade (e digo isto como uma verdadeira apaixonada por saltos altos). Para mim o ideal são umas botas ou botins.

3. On the feet, I highly recommend some comfy shoes, preferably flats to be more at ease (and this said by a true high heel lover). For me the best is a pair of boots.

On a June rainy day

Junho está aqui mas o bom tempo que se viu no início do mês já foi mais uma vez substituído pelo frio e chuva.
A 2 semanas da chegada do Verão ao olhar pela janela mais parece que estamos em pleno Janeiro.
Ora calçamos uma sandálias e vestimos uma saia sem meias, ora voltam as botas e os casacos.

Para mim nestes dias o casaco de pele é essencial.

ENG. June has come but the good weather that we saw when the month began was once more replaced by the rain and cold.
Two weeks from Summer time and looking out the window it seems like we're in the middle of January.
One day we're wearing sandals and a skirt with no tights, and the other it's back to boots and jackets.

For me in these days the leather jacket is a must have.

A Primavera parece finalmente ter decidido aparecer e com ela chegou também uma extensa wishlist para preparar para o bom tempo que se começa a instalar.

Parece que finalmente vamos poder dizer adeus às grandes camisolas de malha, casacos de pêlo e cachecóis grossos e dar as boas vindas aos tecidos leves e sandálias.

Spring seems like has finally decided to come and with it also came an extensive wishlist to get ready for the good weather that is beginning to settle.

Seems like we're finally going to be able to say goodbye to the fur jackets and chunky scarves and knits and welcome the light fabrics and sandals.

To start off this belate Spring I created a small list of items I wish I could add to my wardrobe .

Peplum Love

Desde que apareceu que sou uma grande adepta desta tendência, em saias e em tops, o peplum entrou em grande no meu armário, e no meu dia-a-dia.

Para completar o look, vesti esta camisola com estampado de coruja, mais uma grande tendência desta estação, os estampados de animal, em que o tigre é o rei mas onde corujas, águias e muitos outros se juntam na selva urbana. 
E vocês, são fâs destas duas tendências, ou nem por isso?

From the moment it appeared, I've been a huge follower of this trend, in skirts and tops, peplum has made a grand entrance on my wardrobe.
Whether it's in a more elegant or more casual look, it's always a good option to bring a little more life and shape to an outfit.
To complete the look, I wore this owl printed sweater, one more big trend for this season, the animal print, where the tiger is king but where owls, eagles and many others are brought together in this urban jungle.

Fall and new beginnings

Mais uma vez desculpem a ausência nestes últimos dias, mas é por uma boa razão pelo menos para mim, comecei a trabalhar. E, nestes primeiros tempos, sou sincera, tem sido complicado conjugar o trabalho com o blog, que acaba por também ser um trabalho, que precisa de tempo e dedicação.
Por isso também estou a fazer este post, um pouco diferente dos outros, mais pessoal em que partilho um pouquinho de mim.
Estas duas últimas semanas estão a ser bem animadas, entre fotografar lookbooks, ter formação de visual merchandising e vitrinismo, pesquisas e, o mais difícil, adaptar aos novos horários.
Tem sido uma mudança radical muito bem vinda, que já não aguentava não trabalhar e um óptimo desafio.
Espero começar a conjugar melhor com o blog para vos trazer sempre novidades e poder visitar os vossos cantinhos, tenho a certeza que sim, ao início é que é sempre mais complicado.
Entretanto deixo-vos aqui um look da semana passada, quando o tempo estava um pouco melhor, sem este céu cinzento e chuvoso.


Once again I apologize for my absence the last few days, but it's all for a good reason at least for me, I started working. And, in these first weeks, I have to be honest, it has been a little hard to combine work and blog, which is work by itself since it takes time and dedication.
That's why I'm writing this post, a little different from the ones I usually do, more personal where I share a little bit of me.
These last two weeks have been pretty exciting, between photographing lookbooks, taking a visual merchandiser and window dresser workshop, research and, the most difficult, adapting to the new schedule.
It has been an welcomed radical change since I was fed up of not having a job, and also a great challenge.
I hope I can keep up with the blog soon enough to always bring you something new and to visit your awesome blogs, I'm sure I can, it's always harder at first.
In the meanwhile I'm sharing here with you a look I wore last week, when the weather was a little better, without this gray and rainy sky.
