Inspired by...

Estes ultimos dias tenho estado entre Madrid e Algarve em trabalho, entre frio e chuva e sol e calor.

Claro que a minha preferência recai sobre os ultimos daí o meu post de hoje, repleto de imagens que me fazem lembrar as minhas 2 estações preferidas, Primavera Verão.

Um post rápido, aproveitando o dia de folga que amanhã (sim, Domingo) já estou de volta ao trabalho.

These last few days I've been between Madrid and Algarve, between cold and rain and sun and hot weather.

Of course my preference lays on the last 2 hence today's post, filled with images that remind me of mu two favourite seasons, Spring and Summer.

Just a quick post, taking advantage of my day off since tomorrow (yes, Sunday), I'm back to work.

My Christmas

É uma altura que adoro, já tinha confessado aqui, mas que infelizmente passa rápido! Por isso nada melhor que tentar prolongá-lo um bocadinho mais e mostrar-vos aqui alguns dos meus presentes num post bem curto e rápido.

Espero aproveitar este fim-de-semana, que para mim é prolongado, para preparar uns posts com mais tempo e cabeça.

It’s a time I love, I had already confessed it to you, but that passes by to quick! So in order to make it last a little bit longer nothing better than to show you some of my presents in a very short and quick post.

O Ipad cada vez conquista mais pessoas e à cerca de 1 mês conquistou-me a mim também.

Depois de muito pensar sobre o assunto decidi avançar com o investimento, porque é mesmo um grande investimento, de um Ipad 3 com wifi e 3G e devo dizer que não me arrependo nada.

Acompanha-me para todo o lado, é ideal para o trabalho, lazer e para o blog então tem-se revelado essencial para me tentar manter um pouco mais actualizada.

The Ipad is winning over more and more people each day, and I have to say it has already won me over too for about a month now.

After thinking about it for a while, I decided to invest, because it really is a big investment, in an Ipad 3 with wifi and 3G, and I have to say I don't regret it at all.

I take it with me everywhere, it's perfect for work, for leisure and for the blog it has revealed to be a key element for me to try to keep up with my posts and yours.

Peplum Love

Desde que apareceu que sou uma grande adepta desta tendência, em saias e em tops, o peplum entrou em grande no meu armário, e no meu dia-a-dia.
Seja num look mais elegante ou mais casual, é sempre uma boa opção para dar um pouco mais de vida e forma a um outfit.
Para completar o look, vesti esta camisola com estampado de coruja, mais uma grande tendência desta estação, os estampados de animal, em que o tigre é o rei mas onde corujas, águias e muitos outros se juntam na selva urbana. 
E vocês, são fâs destas duas tendências, ou nem por isso?

From the moment it appeared, I've been a huge follower of this trend, in skirts and tops, peplum has made a grand entrance on my wardrobe.
Whether it's in a more elegant or more casual look, it's always a good option to bring a little more life and shape to an outfit.
To complete the look, I wore this owl printed sweater, one more big trend for this season, the animal print, where the tiger is king but where owls, eagles and many others are brought together in this urban jungle.

November Wishlist

 Novembro acabou de começar e eu já ando a pensar nas peças em que gostaria de investir para este Outono-Inverno, aproveitando que acabei de receber o meu primeiro salário de sempre (uma rapariga tem que festejar, certo? :)).
Por isso mesmo hoje deixo-vos com a minha wishlist deste mês. Sei que não vou trazer todas as peças para casa, não vamos exagerar, mas uma ou outra gostava de poder dizer daqui a uns tempos que já estão a viver comigo.
E vocês, alguma peça que estejam a desejar secretamente, ou não tão secretamente?

November has just begun and I'm already thinking about the pieces that I would like to invest in for this Fall-Winter, taking advantage that I just got my first ever salary (a girl has to celebrate, right? :)).

The comeback of the Grunge

Após todos os desfiles das grandes fashion weeks para a próxima temporada foi possível ver que houve algo que foi recorrente em muitas delas, o grunge.
Vindo dos anos 90, com a influência de ícones como Kurt Cobain e Courtney Love, esta estética relaxada e de rebeldia está de volta. Desta forma, pareceu-me mais que apropriado mostrar-vos um editorial em que trabalhei no ano passado com o mesmo tema, o grunge e inspirado também na série Skins.
Espero que gostem e mais uma vez desculpem a falta de tempo que tenho tido para o blog.

After all the runway shows from the major fashion weeks for the next season we were able to see that there was something recurring in many of them, the grunge style.
Born in the 90's, from the influence of icons like Kurt Cobain and Courtney Love, this relaxed and rebel aesthetic is back. This way, it seemed more than appropriate  to show you an editorial that I worked on last year with the same theme, grunge and also inspired on the tv show Skins.
I hope you like it and once again I apologize for not being here as much.

Fall and new beginnings

Mais uma vez desculpem a ausência nestes últimos dias, mas é por uma boa razão pelo menos para mim, comecei a trabalhar. E, nestes primeiros tempos, sou sincera, tem sido complicado conjugar o trabalho com o blog, que acaba por também ser um trabalho, que precisa de tempo e dedicação.
Por isso também estou a fazer este post, um pouco diferente dos outros, mais pessoal em que partilho um pouquinho de mim.
Estas duas últimas semanas estão a ser bem animadas, entre fotografar lookbooks, ter formação de visual merchandising e vitrinismo, pesquisas e, o mais difícil, adaptar aos novos horários.
Tem sido uma mudança radical muito bem vinda, que já não aguentava não trabalhar e um óptimo desafio.
Espero começar a conjugar melhor com o blog para vos trazer sempre novidades e poder visitar os vossos cantinhos, tenho a certeza que sim, ao início é que é sempre mais complicado.
Entretanto deixo-vos aqui um look da semana passada, quando o tempo estava um pouco melhor, sem este céu cinzento e chuvoso.


Once again I apologize for my absence the last few days, but it's all for a good reason at least for me, I started working. And, in these first weeks, I have to be honest, it has been a little hard to combine work and blog, which is work by itself since it takes time and dedication.
That's why I'm writing this post, a little different from the ones I usually do, more personal where I share a little bit of me.
These last two weeks have been pretty exciting, between photographing lookbooks, taking a visual merchandiser and window dresser workshop, research and, the most difficult, adapting to the new schedule.
It has been an welcomed radical change since I was fed up of not having a job, and also a great challenge.
I hope I can keep up with the blog soon enough to always bring you something new and to visit your awesome blogs, I'm sure I can, it's always harder at first.
In the meanwhile I'm sharing here with you a look I wore last week, when the weather was a little better, without this gray and rainy sky.

New In . Shopping is the best Therapy

Ontem foi o dia de terapia de compras. Já há algum tempo que não passava assim uma tarde a passear pela Rua de Santa Catarina e a fazer algumas compras (ou muitas )para actualizar o meu guarda-roupa.
Não consegui resistir aos statement necklaces, ao peplum e à saia de pele em bordeaux, 3 grandes tendências para o Outono e um grande golpe na minha conta bancária, mas que valeu bem a pena.

Yesterday was shopping therapy day. It has been a while since I spent an afternoon just walking around Rua Santa Catarina, Porto and shopping a little (or a lot) to update my wardrobe.
I just couldn't resist the statement necklaces, the peplum and the wine coloured leather skirt, 3 big trends for Fall and a huge blow to my bank account, but totally worth it.

  Vermelho . Encontrei este miúdo em Rhodes a pedir dinheiro com o seu acordião vermelho e simplesmente tocou-me o seu ar entristecido.
Red . I saw this kid in Rhodes asking money while playing on his red accordion and it just touched me, his saddened eyes.

Amarelo . Esta foto foi tirada em Barcelona, durante uma festa ao entardecer no terraço de minha casa. Quando olhei para o prédio ao lado e vi a alegria das crianças a dançarem ao som da nossa música debaixo duma luz amarelada do pôr do sol não resisti a captar o momento.

Yellow . This photo was taken in Barcelona, during a party on my apartment's rooftop. When I looked to the building next to us and I saw the joy of these kids dancing to our music under the yellow light of the sundown I couldn't resist capturing the moment.

Azul . Este céu azul sobre a famosa Mesquita Azul em Istambul não poderia ser mais apropriada para o começo de uma noite de Ramadão.
Blue . This blue sky over the famous Blue Mosque in Istanbul couldn't be more perfect for the start of a Ramadan night.

Verde . Este verde para mim simboliza o tempo de paz que agora vivemos sob o memorial de uma época mais negra, à entrada do campo de concentração de Terezin, em Praga.

Green . This green to me symbolizes a time of peace that we now live beneath a memorial of darker times, by the entrance of Terezin concentration camp, in Prague.

Branco . Eu sei que pode ser cliché mas a frescura do branco da cidade de Mykonos inspira qualquer um.

White . I know it might seem a cliché but the freshness of the white in Mykonos I think inspires everyone.

Recebi esta semana mais um artigo da Oasap, uns óculos de sol redondos de inspiração vintage que usei ontem pela primeira vez com as calças e a carteira que recebi do concurso da Hoss Intropia que podem ver aqui.
