Crop Tops, Now and Then

Falando das tendências para a Primavera deste ano, apenas a poucos meses de distância,  mas que já nos deixam com "àgua na boca" desde Setembro, sendo uma delas, o temido por algumas e desejado por outras, crop top. 
Pois é, se há altura para pôr essas barriguinhas no ponto é esta, pelo menos para quem faz alguma intenção de seguir esta tendência.
Mas será esta peça, que invadiu as passereles em Setembro, algo de novo? Claro que não, é apenas mais uma prova de como as "modas" são cíclicas, vêm e vão e voltam. E esta veio e foi não à muito tempo. Quem não se lembra de à uns 10 anos atrás ver por todo o lado raparigas de barriga à mostra com os típicos piercings no umbigo e calças ou saias de cintura super descida, ou até ser uma dessas raparigas?
Se antes este top era usado com partes de baixo de cintura super descida, ao típico estilo Britney Spears, agora é, principalmente, conjugado com calças, saias, calções de cinta subida, mostrando apenas um pouco de pele, num look mais elegante.
Desde Acne em Londres, Prada em Milão a Nina Ricci em Paris, esta peça de roupa surgiu nos mais variados estilos e feitios, resta descobrir o nosso preferido.

Speaking of this year's Spring trends, just a couple of months away, but that have been "watering our mouths" since September, being one of them, the feared by some and most desired by others, crop top.
That's right, if there's a time to work those abs this is it, at least for the ones who have any intention of following this trend.
But is this piece of clothing, that invaded the runways in September, something new? Of course not, it's just another proof of how fashion is cyclic, it comes and goes and then returns. And this one in particular came and went not a long time ago. Who doesn't remember, like 10 years ago, seeing young girls everywhere with her abs all showing, with their characteristic belly button rings and super low waisted trousers, or even being one of those girls?
If before this top was used with super low waisted bottoms, typical Britney Spears' style, now it is mostly conjugated with high waisted trousers, skirts, shorts, showing only a little bit of skin, on a more elegant style.
From Acne in London, Prada in Milan to Nina Ricci in Paris, this must-have piece resurged in many styles and shapes, we only have to figure out which is our favourite.

Zombie Boy . new fashion icon?

Zombie Boy, maior parte de nós já deve ter ouvido ou visto este nome em algum lado. É a nova cara da campanha de Thierry Mugler e está a fazer sensação no mundo da moda.
Estamos numa altura em que o que é diferente e fora do normal além de ser aceite é o que se procura.
Com uma imagem que desafia todas as convenções da moda, Rick Genest, mais conhecido como Zombie Boy deu os seus primeiros passos na moda, mas para ele nada como começar no topo. Desfilou para Thierry Mugler na Fashion Week de Paris e realizou também a campanha da mesma marca e até um editorial na Vogue Homme Japan.
Tendo-o encontrado no facebook,Nicola Formichetti considera-o a sua inspiração e rapidamente o deu a conhecer a todo o mundo.
Rick Genest é do Canada e a sua ideia era transformar-se através do seu corpo, num zombie.
É a arte e o surrealismo levado ao próprio corpo e, por sua vez, à moda.
Com uma imagem tão forte e marcante como a que apresenta, a questão é se a sua imagem se vai tornar saturada e em breve cairá no esquecimento ou se antes pelo contrário, será algo que vá marcar a moda deste momento.
Na minha opinião, irá sem dúvida tornar-se um ícone e uma personagem marcante no mundo da moda, que iremos recordar como tendo rompido com a moda e o modelo "tradicional".

Zombie Boy, most of us has heard or read this name in some place. He's the new face of Thierry Mugler's campaign and is the new sensation in the fashion world.
We are in a time that what is different and out of normal is not only accepted but it's what everyone looks for.
With an image that defies all fashion conventions, Rick Genest, known as Zombie Boy, gave his first steps in fashion, but in his case, nothing better than start at the top. He walked on the runway show of Thierry Mugler in Paris Fashion Week and his the face of this brand's new campaign and was even shot for an editorial for Vogue Homme Japan.
Having been found on facebook by Nicola Formichetti, he turned into his muse and inspiration and soon was known and wanted by everyone on the fashion world.
Rick Genest is from Canada and his ambition was to turn himself, through his body, into a zombie.
It's art and surrealism taken to the own body and, consequently, to fashion.
With an image so strong, the question is if his image will become so used and people will soon be over it and forget it or, on the contrary, will become something that marks today's fashion.
In my opinion, he will definitely become an icon and an important figure in the fashion world, that we will always remember as someone who broke the stereotypes of the "tradicional" model.
