CFDA X INSTAGRAM

Neste ultimo ano tenho andado ausente do blog.
Agora uma rapariga trabalhadora, o tempo que dedicava ao blog ficou bastante reduzido e confesso que acabei por ter de fazer uma pausa.
Já há bastante tempo que tencionava voltar, mas como boa portuguesa que sou, fui adiando e adiando.
Mas chegou a hora de reavivar este espaço com noticias, looks e projectos novos. Espero conseguir fazer pelo menos um post por semana, mas o facebook e o instagram vão sendo actualizados com mais frequência.

Falando em redes sociais, algo que nunca deixei foi a minha conta no Instagram @laufigueiredo (sou completamente viciada), e é mesmo sobre esta rede social que trata a 1ª noticia que partilho aqui.


Os CFDA Awards estão prestes a chegar, dia 2 de Junho, e este ano há uma novidade.
Pela 1ª vez os prémios não passam apenas pelos melhores criadores de moda mas também pelo melhor "instagrammer" do ano.
Oito foram nomeados por um painel de júris que incluem Rachel Zoe e The Coveteur, mas cabe ao publico decidir qual será o vencedor, que irá estar presente na gala deste ano.

This past year I've been away from the blog, and I'm sorry for that really.
Now a working girl, the time I dedicated to the blog was severely cut down and I must confess that I ended up having to take a break.
For a while I've been meaning to come back, but I've been procrastinating.
But it has come the time to bring this space back to life with news, looks and new projects. I hope I manage to post at least once a week, but my facebook page and instagram will be more frequently updated

Speaking of social networks, something I've never been able to let go is my Instagram account @laufigueiredo (completely addicted), and it's exactly about it that I write here.



The CFDA Awards are about to come, June the 2nd, and this year we have something new.
For the first time the prizes are not only for the best womenswear and menswear designers of the year but also for the "Instagrammer" of the year.
Eight were selected by a panel of judges that includes Rachel Zoe and The Coveteur, but it's up to the public, which means us, to decide the winner, that will be present on this year's gala.

Se em Fevereiro se homenageiam os filmes com os Oscars, em Junho a grande homenageada é a moda!
Os CFDA Awards são os grandes prémios da industria da moda, onde designers, imprensa e ícones de moda são reconhecidos pelo seu trabalho e influência.
Modelos, designers, actores, actrizes, amigos e conhecidos vestiram-se a rigor e juntaram-se no Lincoln Center em Nova Iorque para uma noite a celebrar o que há de melhor na moda.

If in February we pay an homage to the movie industry with the Oscars, in June the honored one is fashion!
The CFDA Awards are the greatest recognition of the fashion industry, where designers, press and fashion icons are acknowledged for their work and influence.
Models, designers, actors, actresses, friends and people from the industry put on their best outfits and got together at the Lincoln Center in New York for a night of celebration of what's best on the fashion world.

CFDA Awards, and the winners are...

Foi ontem à noite que se juntaram vários nomes conhecidos numa homenagem ao mundo da moda, nos CFDA Awards. Estes prémios são como os Oscares da indústria da moda, onde são homenageados os melhores designers do ano.

O evento decorreu no Lincoln Center em Nova Iorque, reunindo celebridades, designers, modelos e todos aqueles interessados e relacionados neste meio, numa noite onde reinou o gosto pela moda.

It was last night that many known figures were brought together in an homage to the fashion world, on the CFDA Awards. These awards are like the Oscars but for the fashion industrie, where the best designers of the year are honored.
The event was on the Lincoln Center in New York, bringing together celebrities, designers, models and fashion followers, on a night where style reigned.
