As I mentioned on the previous post, the portuguese designer Felipe Oliveira Baptista is the new creative director at Lacoste and presented is debut collection SS 2012 for the brand in New York.
With a more contemporary style, that unites chic and sportswear, Felipe Oliveira Baptista creates a Lacoste that can be wear in many occasions, a Lacoste that while still linked to the sporty style goes beyond that, with the tradicional polo shirts transformed in silky dresses, with wide leg trousers, geometric prints, and many pieces of outerwear that weren't used before by the brand.
It's like a reconstruction at Lacoste, that can be seen in the whole collection as well as in each piece individually.

ReplyDeleteHe did such a great job. Lacoste was in dire need of some restructuring to the clothes (they had become boring and you could find them everywhere). They should be very happy with his work!
