September issue in fashion, as everyone knows, the most important issue of the year!
And that's because it brings the best fashion for the upcoming Fall season, new trends, new must-have pieces, it's the time when we renew ourselves.
As some say "September is the January in Fashion", it's when it all starts again.

Dancing Fashion

Ao ver este fascinante editorial da Vogue China, uma das revistas com os melhores editoriais na minha opinião, torna-se clara a grande influência da dança na moda.
Além da moda, a dança sempre me atraiu bastante, a leveza e a liberdade que transmite é cativante. Para mim dançar sempre foi uma forma de descontrair, de me libertar, de não pensar em nada, esvaziar a mente e deixar o corpo "falar". Adoro a forma como um simples movimento pode significar e dizer tanta coisa.
E quando as duas, moda e dança, se unem, surge sempre algo especial e mágico.
É uma área em que a moda se apoia diversas vezes, seja em inspiração para as colecções ou editoriais, ou mesmo nas própria atitude e postura adoptada pela modelo.
Desde sempre que houve um grande fascínio pela dança, já no ínicio do século XX, Coco Chanel e Paul Poiret  eram visivelmente influenciados pelo Ballet Russo, assim como mais tarde Yves Saint Laurent e Alexander McQueen. E hoje em dia, estas influências continuam a ser visíveis, seja ballet, contemporâneo, jazz ou mesmo o hip hop a influenciar a moda de rua.
A dança é uma forma de expressão através do corpo, não são necessárias palavras, tal como a moda, cada um se veste de acordo a expressar quem é, ou pelos menos, quem pretende ser, por isso, não é uma surpresa ver como as duas áreas se unem, tornando-se uma só por vezes.
E neste editorial vê-se isso mesmo, a união da moda e da dança, os movimentos delicados da modelo que relembram uma bailarina, acentuam a beleza etérea das peças que leva e vice-versa, é a combinação perfeita.


Seeing this mesmerizing  editorial from Vogue China, one of the magazines with the some of the best editorials in my opinion, it becomes clear the big influence dance has on fashion.
Besides fashion, dance has always fascinated me, the lightness, grace and freedom it transmits is captivating. For me dancing was always a way to relax, to set free, to not think about anything, clear the mind and let the body "speak". I love how a simple movement can mean and say so many things.
And when the two of them, fashion and dance, get together, the result is always something so special and magical.
It's an area in which fashion leans on many times, whether for inspiration for collections or editorials, or even in the attitude and posture adopted by the model.
There's always been a great allure on dance, even in the beginning of  the XX century, Coco Chanel and Paul Poiret were visibly influenced by The Russian Ballets, and later also Yves Saint Laurent and Alexander McQueen. And, nowadays, these influences are still here, whether it's ballet, contemporary, jazz or even hip hop influencing the street fashion.
Dance is a form of expression through the body, words are not needed, and the same is with fashion, each one dresses according to who they are, or at least, who they want to be, therefore, it's not a surprise that the two areas come together, becoming one at times.
In this editorial that's what we can see, the union of fashion and dance, the model's delicate movements that remind us of a ballerina, accentuate the ethereal beauty of the pieces she wears and vice-versa, it's the perfect combination.

Depois de um mês afastada do blog, estou de volta com as que eu considero como das melhores capas de revistas do mês de Setembro, um dos meses, se não o mais importante dentro da indústria da moda.

Surgem novas tendência e um novo ciclo começa, é como o começo de um novo ano para stylists, designers, revistas...

Desde a China até Espanha, estas capas mostram-nos vários rostos conhecidos dentro do mundo da moda e representação dos mais novos e frescos como Elle Fanning à aclamada Naomi Campbell.

Capas para todos os gostos, mais excêntrico e provocador como a capa da V Spain com um toque de Carine Roitfeld, mais jovem e irreverente com a fotografia de Terry Richardson para a I-D e vulnerável e emotiva como as variadas capas da revista LOVE deste mês.

After a month apart from the blog, I'm back with what I consider some of the best fashion magazine covers of this month. September, one of the most, if not the most important month in the fashion industry. New trends emerge and a new cycle begins, it's like the beginning of a new year for stylists, designers, magazines...

From China to Spain, these covers show us many known faces from the fashion and celebrity world, the young and fresh like Elle Fanning to the well known and fashion veteran Naomi Campbell.

Covers for all tastes, eccentric and provocative like the cover with a touch from Carine Roitfeld for V Spain, young and irreverent with Terry Richardson's photo for I-D and even vulnerable and emotive like the covers for LOVE magazine this month.
