The comeback of the Grunge

Após todos os desfiles das grandes fashion weeks para a próxima temporada foi possível ver que houve algo que foi recorrente em muitas delas, o grunge.
Vindo dos anos 90, com a influência de ícones como Kurt Cobain e Courtney Love, esta estética relaxada e de rebeldia está de volta. Desta forma, pareceu-me mais que apropriado mostrar-vos um editorial em que trabalhei no ano passado com o mesmo tema, o grunge e inspirado também na série Skins.
Espero que gostem e mais uma vez desculpem a falta de tempo que tenho tido para o blog.

After all the runway shows from the major fashion weeks for the next season we were able to see that there was something recurring in many of them, the grunge style.
Born in the 90's, from the influence of icons like Kurt Cobain and Courtney Love, this relaxed and rebel aesthetic is back. This way, it seemed more than appropriate  to show you an editorial that I worked on last year with the same theme, grunge and also inspired on the tv show Skins.
I hope you like it and once again I apologize for not being here as much.

Maison Martin Margiela for H&M . The campaign is revealed

Antes de mais obrigada a todos pelo apoio nesta nova fase, fico mesmo contente de ver o vosso feedback.
E passando ao post, hoje trago-vos as imagens da campanha da colaboração mais esperada do ano, pelo menos por mim, Maison Martin Margiela para a H&M.
Sei que muitos de vocês já devem estar cansados de ver estas imagens mas eu não podia deixar de as partilhar aqui.
Esta colecção, que anda a deixar todos os entusiastas de moda na expectativa, é como uma re-edição de algumas das peças icónicas do arquivo da maison, chegando assim a uma nova audiência, tornando o design de Margiela mais acessível.
Esta campanha foi fotografada por Sam Taylor-Johnson nas ruas de Paris e as peças estarão disponíveis nas lojas seleccionadas a partir de dia 15 de Novembro. Aqui em Portugal, como já é habitual só chegará à H&M do Chiado, parece que vou ter que fazer uma visita a Lisboa nessa altura.

And moving on to the post, today I bring you the campaign photos of the most awaited collaboration of the year, at least by me, Maison Martin Margiela for H&M.
I know that many of you must already be tired of seeing these images but I  couldn't let it pass without sharing it here.
This collection, that has been keeping every fashion enthusiast on the lookout, is like a re-edition of some of the most archive pieces of the maison, now reaching to a new audience, and consequently making the Margiela designs more accessible.
This campaign was shot by Sam Taylor-Johnson on the streets of Paris and the pieces will be available on the selected stores on November 15 . I envy those of you who will have it in your city.

Fall and new beginnings

Mais uma vez desculpem a ausência nestes últimos dias, mas é por uma boa razão pelo menos para mim, comecei a trabalhar. E, nestes primeiros tempos, sou sincera, tem sido complicado conjugar o trabalho com o blog, que acaba por também ser um trabalho, que precisa de tempo e dedicação.
Por isso também estou a fazer este post, um pouco diferente dos outros, mais pessoal em que partilho um pouquinho de mim.
Estas duas últimas semanas estão a ser bem animadas, entre fotografar lookbooks, ter formação de visual merchandising e vitrinismo, pesquisas e, o mais difícil, adaptar aos novos horários.
Tem sido uma mudança radical muito bem vinda, que já não aguentava não trabalhar e um óptimo desafio.
Espero começar a conjugar melhor com o blog para vos trazer sempre novidades e poder visitar os vossos cantinhos, tenho a certeza que sim, ao início é que é sempre mais complicado.
Entretanto deixo-vos aqui um look da semana passada, quando o tempo estava um pouco melhor, sem este céu cinzento e chuvoso.


Once again I apologize for my absence the last few days, but it's all for a good reason at least for me, I started working. And, in these first weeks, I have to be honest, it has been a little hard to combine work and blog, which is work by itself since it takes time and dedication.
That's why I'm writing this post, a little different from the ones I usually do, more personal where I share a little bit of me.
These last two weeks have been pretty exciting, between photographing lookbooks, taking a visual merchandiser and window dresser workshop, research and, the most difficult, adapting to the new schedule.
It has been an welcomed radical change since I was fed up of not having a job, and also a great challenge.
I hope I can keep up with the blog soon enough to always bring you something new and to visit your awesome blogs, I'm sure I can, it's always harder at first.
In the meanwhile I'm sharing here with you a look I wore last week, when the weather was a little better, without this gray and rainy sky.

From the Runway to the streets in Paris

Antes de mais desculpem a ausência aqui pelo blog e pelo facebook mas esta semana tem sido mais complicada para arranjar tempo para passar por aqui, mas agora com o fim de semana prolongada acho que já vou conseguir pôr tudo em dia e visitar também todos os vossos cantinhos.

Hoje deixo apenas alguns dos meus looks preferidos que foram avistados a passear nas ruas de Paris na Fashion Week que terminou ontem.

First of all sorry for being away from here and from facebook but this week has been crazy and it has been complicated to find time to come here, but now that it is a long weekend I think I'm going to be able to put everything in order and visit all of your blogs.

Raf Simons liberates Dior

A Paris Fashion Week continua a trazer-nos das melhores coleções e tendências para a próxima temporada de Primavera 2013.
Raf Simons foi mais um dos designers que apresentou um desfile de cortar a respiração na cidade parisiense.
No seu primeiro desfile de Ready to Wear para a Dior, Simons continua a distanciar-se e a libertar-se da Dior de Galliano. Enquanto este era exuberante e excessivo, Raf Simons prima pelo seu estilo mais minimalista e de uma exuberância e sensualidade mais subtil.
Eu, pessoalmente, identifico-me muito mais com este tipo de coleção e acho que esta mudança foi uma lufada de ar fresco na maison francesa.
Raf Simons inspira-se na herança de Christian Dior e traz de volta as silhuetas do New Look, tal como no seu desfile de Couture, e adapta-as às necessidades da mulher moderna.
Os casacos cintados e em linha A são uma das peças chave da coleção e vão ser, de certeza, um must-have para a próxima temporada.
A Dior, sob a direção de Simons entra numa fase em que as atenções se voltam a focar na roupa e não apenas no espectáculo que pode ser um desfile e isso é verdadeiramente refrescante.


Paris Fashion Week continues to treat us to some of the best collections and trends for the next Spring 2013 season.
Raf Simons was another designer that presented a breathtaking runway show in the Parisian city.
On his Ready to Wear debut show for Dior, Simons continues to detach and liberate himself from Galliano's Dior. While this one was exuberant and excessive, Raf Simons is known for his more minimalist style with touch of a subtle sensuality.
Personally, I identify much more with this type of collection and I think this change was a breath of fresh air to the French maison.
Raf Simons was inspired by Christian Dior's heritage and brings back the New Look silhouettes, like he did on the Couture show, and adapts them to the modern woman needs.
The hourglass and A-line jackets are one of the key pieces of the collection and will, certainly, be a must-have for the upcoming season.
Dior, under Raf Simon's direction is entering a fase where the primal focus is, once again, the clothes and not just the spectacle that a runway show can be and that is really refreshing.
