O Verão não é só feito de praia, mas também daqueles momentos no final da tarde ou noite em que a única coisa que apetece é relaxar no sofá em frente à TV e aproveitar para pôr em dia as séries favoritas.
E, pensando exactamente nesses momentos, deixo-vos aqui algumas das séries que estão a fazer parte do meu Verão.
Summer isn't only made of sun and beach, but also those moments at the end of a day when the only thing you're up to is relax on your sofa in front of the TV and tune in on a few of your favorite shows.
And with that in mind, I just want to share with you some of the shows that have become a part of my Summer.
Pretty Little Liars
Esta série que já vai na sua terceira temporada, devo avisar, é completamente viciante.
Sobre 4 amigas de uma pequena cidade chamada Rosewood, Hanna, Aria, Spencer e Emily, unidas pelo desaparecimento da misteriosa "líder" do grupo, Allison. Passado 1 ano começam a receber mensagens anónimas com ameaças, segredos apenas revelados a Allison, sempre assinados com a inicial "A".
Estas mensagens desencadeiam uma série de acontecimentos, desde o aparecimento do corpo de Allison, à tentativa de saber quem é o assassino e quem as continua a ameaçar.
Sem dúvida uma série que vai ser difícil parar de ver até chegar ao último episódio.
This show is already on its third season and, i have to tell you, it's really adictive.
About 4 friends from a small town called Rosewood, Hanna, Aria, Spencer and Emily, united by the disappearance of her mysterious group "leader", Allison. A year passed and they start to get anonymous messages with threats, secrets only Allison knew, always signed with he initial "A".
Those messages unleash a series of events, from the appearance of Ali's body, to the attempt to find out who's her killer and who's threatening the group of friends.
No doubt a show that's going to be hard to stop watching until the very last episode.
Jane by Design
Embora já tenha acabado de ver o final da temporada, esta série tinha que entrar na minha lista de Verão. Uma série sobre uma adolescente, Jane Quimby, que é confundida com uma adulta e começa o trabalho dos seus sonhos numa famosa empresa de moda. Ela passa a ter que viver uma vida dupla, na escola e no mundo da moda. Uma outsider no liceu, e contando apenas com Billy, o melhor amigo, como cúmplice nesta vida dupla, a série segue as aventuras de Jane a tentar conjugar as suas duas vidas.
Uma série alegre e contagiante que episódio atrás de episódio nos deixa com um sorriso nos lábios.
Although I already finished seeing the season finale, this show had to be on my Summer list.
A tv show about a high school teen, Jane Quimby, who is mistaken by an adult and lands her dream job at a famous fashion house. Now she has to live a double life, in high school and in high fashion. An outsider in high school, and counting only with her best friend Billy as her accomplice in her double identity, the show follows Jane's adventures trying to combine her two lives.
An upbeat and contagious show that leaves us with a smile on our face at the end of each episode.
True Blood
Agora na 5ª temporada esta série não deixa de surpreender. Num mundo em que os vampiros "saíram do armário/caixão", e procuram ter os mesmos direitos dos humanos devido à criação de sangue sintético, surge a história de Sookie Stackhouse, uma empregada de bar com poderes especiais. Sookie conhece um misterioso vampiro, Bill Compton, e a partir daí a sua pacata vida em Bon Temps muda radicalmente.
Num desfile de seres sobrenaturais, desde vampiros a lobisomens, fadas, bruxas... Sookie deixa para trás a sua vida aparentemente normal enquanto se envolve com Bill.

Ainda uma série a começar mas que promete conquistar muitos seguidores.
A tv show still in its beginning but that promises to conquer the hearts of lots of viewers.
