A excêntrica actriz e mulher do realizador Tim Burton foi a escolhida pelo designer para a campanha de Outono de 2011, desta ninguém estava à espera de certeza.

CFDA Awards, and the winners are...

Foi ontem à noite que se juntaram vários nomes conhecidos numa homenagem ao mundo da moda, nos CFDA Awards. Estes prémios são como os Oscares da indústria da moda, onde são homenageados os melhores designers do ano.

O evento decorreu no Lincoln Center em Nova Iorque, reunindo celebridades, designers, modelos e todos aqueles interessados e relacionados neste meio, numa noite onde reinou o gosto pela moda.

It was last night that many known figures were brought together in an homage to the fashion world, on the CFDA Awards. These awards are like the Oscars but for the fashion industrie, where the best designers of the year are honored.
The event was on the Lincoln Center in New York, bringing together celebrities, designers, models and fashion followers, on a night where style reigned.

Franca Sozzani, editora chefe da Vogue Itália, foi um passo mais além e usou três modelos plus size na capa da Vogue Italia deste mês de Junho, continuando com a sua campanha contra a anorexia.
Num editorial fotografado pelo génio Steven Meisel, as modelos Tara Lynn, Candice Huffine e Robyn Lawley mostram que a beleza não é sinónimo de magreza. Com uns corpos curvilíneos e uma beleza inegável, as três expõem-se para a câmara em lingerie, sem preconceitos ou complexos.

Franca Sozzani, editor in chief of Vogue Italia, went a step further and used, not one, but three plus size models on the cover of this month's issue, continuing with her campaign against anorexia. 
In an editorial shot by the genious Steven Meisel, the models Tara Lynn, Candice Huffine and Robyn Lawley show that beauty doesn't always mean thin. With curvy bodies and undeniable beauty, the three expose themselves to the camera in lingerie, without complexes or prejudices.

Além destas três modelos, Crystal Renn, além de ser também plus size, é uma das mais requisitadas modelos do momento.
Começou no mundo da moda com 14 anos mas sofreu de anorexia, para depois de recuperada voltar como plus size.
Desde aí, já trabalhou com Chanel, Jean Paul Gaultier, Dolce &Gabanna, H&M, Jimmy Choo e apareceu em editoriais para revistas como a Vogue americana, italiana, francesa e alemã, Elle italiana, Vanity Fair, Harper's Bazaar, I-D, V entre outras.


Besides these three models, Crystal Renn is also a plus size model and one of the most wanted models of the moment.
She started on the fashion world when she was 14 but then suffered from anorexia, later she came back as plus size model.
Since then, she has already worked with Chanel, Jean Paul Gaultier, Dolce & Gabbana, H&M, Jimmy Choo and was featured in editorials for magazines such as american, italian, french and german Vogue, italian Elle, Vanity Fair, Harper's Bazaar, I-D, V among others.

Quem disse que o mundo da moda pertence às típicas modelos altas e magras estava bem enganado.

So, whoever says the fashion world belongs to the typical tall and thin models was seriously mistaken.

Foi no festival de Cannes que se pôde ter um preview da nova campanha para a Chanel de Outono-Inverno 2011.
Sem dúvida com um look diferente das outras campanhas, mais provocador e extravagante, foi fotografado, como sempre, por Karl Lagerfeld e, voltando a utilizar a modelo Freja Beha na sua quinta campanha consecutiva para a marca. A diferença é que o styling foi por parte de Carine Roitfeld, ex editora chefe da Vogue Paris que, desta forma, trouxe o seu estilo marcante para a nova campanha da marca. fotografada numa cabine de fotografias em Paris.

It was in Cannes, on the festival, that was previewed the new Chanel campaign for Fall 2011.
There's no doubt that the feeling is different from past campaigns, more provocative and edgier. It was photographed, as always, by Karl Lagerfeld, featuring Freja Beha on her fifth consecutive campaign for the label. The difference is that Carine Roitfeld, ex editor in chief of Vogue Paris, was the stylist behind this campaign, therefore adding her unique and edgier style to it, in a set of images photographed in a photo-booth in Paris.
