A nova musa de Alexander Wang para a sua nova video-campanha de T by Alexander Wang é, nada mais nada menos, a rainha do rap Azealia Banks.
Não é uma grande surpresa já que ela foi o seu par para o Met Ball, mas o video vale a pena ver, sem dúvida. Ao som de "Van Vogue" Azealia Banks canta, dança e contagia com a sua incessante energia, enquanto usa ajustados crop tops ao estilo dos anos 90.

Alexander Wang's new muse for his new video-campaign for T by Alexander Wang is rap queen Azealia Banks.
This collaboration comes as no surprise since she was Alexander's date for the Met Ball, but the video is definitely worth watching. To the beat of "Van Vogue" Azealia Banks sings, dances and contaminates with her incessant energy, while wearing fitting "90-esque" crop tops.

Hoje venho partilhar convosco o meu novo artigo para a Nstyle Magazine.

Today I'm going to share with you my new article for Nstyle Magazine.  

Carine Roitfeld não deixa de surpreender. Depois da sua saída da Vogue Paris, foram inúmeras as colaborações com marcas, designers e fotógrafos, incluindo o fabuloso livro e exposição em conjunto com Karl Lagerfeld, da Chanel “The Little Black Jacket”, até que há uns meses atrás anunciou o lançamento da sua nova revista, CR Fashion Book.

Esta revista bianual será lançada dia 13 de Setembro deste ano, uma data muito aguardada por todos os interessados na Moda.

Roitfeld promete uma revista sempre irreverente e diferente das restantes publicações e, é isso mesmo que podemos ver na primeira fotografia da tão antecipada revista. Fotografada por Sebastian Faena, a modelo Juliet Ingleby aparece num cemitério usando apenas um véu cor de lavanda a flutuar com o vento e acessórios vermelhos, seguida por três modelos ao verdadeiro estilo viúvas-negras, uma imagem provocante que só poderia vir da mente da ex editora da Vogue Paris.

Resta esperar por Setembro para ver o que mais nos trará de novo este génio da moda, Carine Roitfeld.

Carine Roitfeld never seizes to amaze. After her depart from Vogue Paris, there were numerous collaborations with brands, designers and photographers, including the fabulous book and exhibition alongside Karl Lagerfeld, for Chanel "The Little Black Jacket", until a few months ago she announced the launch of her new magazine, CR Fashion Book.
This semi-annual magazine will be launched on September 13th, this year, a date anxiously awaited by everyone who's interested in fashion.
Roitfeld promises a magazine that's always edgy and different from other publications and, that's exactly what we can see on the first photo from the much anticipated magazine. Shot by Sebastian Faena, model Juliet Ingleby appears on a graveyard wearing only a flowy lavender veil and  red accessories, followed closely by three minions styled as the black widows, a provocative image that could only come from the mind of the ex Vogue Paris editor-in-chief.
Now we only have to wait for September to see what else will this fashion genius that is Carine Roitfeld will bring new.

Hermes reveals its secrets

A maison Hermès decidiu partilhar alguns dos seus segredos connosco, apaixonados pela moda.
Para isso basta visitar este site que nos leva ao nº 24 da Rue du Faubourg Saint-Honoré, sede da Hermès desde 1879, e clicar nos diferentes departamentos para descobrir o que se faz por lá.

The maison Hermès decided to share some of its secrets with us, fashion lovers.

A Dior trouxe de volta Brigitte Bardot para a campanha do novo perfume Addict.
O fotógrafo Tim Walker (um dos meus fotógrafos preferidos) e o director Jonas Akerlund juntaram-se em Saint Tropez para produzir a nova campanha da marca, onde a adorável Daphne Groeneveld encarna na perfeição o papel de sedutora, reproduzindo cenas do clássico filme de Brigitte Bardot de 1956 "E Deus criou uma mulher" que imortalizou a actriz francesa.
Ao som do hit de Stereo Total "I love you, Ono", a modelo holandesa, dona de uma beleza única, apanha sol numa praia, seduz todos os homens por que passa enquanto passeia pela cidade costeira de tons suaves e dança num café...
É impossível não deixar de sorrir ao ver este vídeo.

Dior brought back Brigitte Bardot for their new fragrance Addict's campaign.
The photographer Tim Walker (one of my favorite photographers by the way)  and the director Jonas Akerlund got together in Saint Tropez to produce the brand's newest campaign, featuring the lovely Daphne Groeneveld playing perfectly the seductive role, reenacting scenes of the classic 1956 Brigitte Bardot movie  "And God created Woman" that immortalized the French actress.
To the sound of Stereo Total hit song "I love you, Ono", the Dutch model, owner of a unique beauty, sunbathes in the beach, seduces every man she passes while walking in a pastel coast city and dances in a bar...
It's impossible not to smile while watching this movie.

O rumor que tanto se fazia ouvir estes últimos tempos confirma-se.
Maison Martin Margiela é a nova colaboração da H&M, desta forma a marca sueca entra em território avant-garde.
A Maison Martin Margiela é conhecida pela sua irreverência, moda conceptual, desconstrução de peças e formas arquitectónicas, resta ver como esta estética se irá traduzir numa coleção mais jovem, mainstream e, claro, a um preço mais acessível.

Maison Martin Margiela is the new collaboration for H&M, this way the swedish retailer enters in an avant-guarde territory.
Maison Martin Margiela is known for its edginess,conceptual fashion, some deconstruction and architectural shapes, now we just have to wait to see how this aesthetic will translate in a younger, more mainstream and, of course, more accessible collection.

Pirelli Calendar photographed by photojournalist Steve McCurry

O famoso calendário Pirelli, conhecido pelas suas fascinantes fotografias de nus artísticos, revelou o fotógrafo para a edição de 2013, uma grande surpresa, sem dúvida.

Normalmente fotografado pelos melhores fotógrafos de moda como Herb Ritts,  Peter Lindbergh, Patrick Demarchelier e, o mais recente, Mario Sorrenti, o calendário do próximo ano muda um pouco de direção sob a objetiva do fotojornalista Steve McCurry.

Conhecido por captar a famosa imagem da National Geographic em 1985 da rapariga afegã de olhos verdes que impressionou o mundo inteiro, McCurry revela que pretende retratar uma mulher que é sexy sem estar nua, definitivamente uma visão diferente das anteriores.

Resta esperar para ver o resultado no final deste ano e quem terão sido as musas escolhidas pelo fotógrafo.

The famous Pirelli Calendar, known for its fascinating photos of artistic nudes, revealed the photographer for the 2013 edition, a big surprise, there's no doubt in that.

Usually photographed by the best fashion photographers like Herb Ritts, Peter Lindbergh, Patrick Demarchelier and, the most recent, Mario Sorrenti, next year's calendar is headed in a new direction under the lens of photojournalist Steve McCurry.

Known for capturing the iconic National Geographic image in 1985, of the green eyed Afghan girl that impressed the whole world, McCurry says he wants to "portray women who are sexy without being naked", definitely a different vision from the ones before.

Now we just have to wait to see the result in the end of this year and who the photographer chose as his muses.

I got to know the make-up brand KIKO when I lived in Barcelona last year, and it was love at first buy! That's why when I came back to Porto and noticed that it had opened here I was almost jumping up and down with joy.

ESAD LAB " Do coolhunting à produção de moda"

Hoje trago-vos uma grande novidade, estão abertas as inscrições para um workshop na ESAD em Matosinhos de Coolhunting e Produção de Moda que será dado por mim e por uma amiga minha, Marta Fonseca.
O curso consiste em dar uma visão da moda desde o surgimento de tendências, ou seja, desde o coolhunting, ao processo criativo de um produtor de moda, de uma forma dinâmica e interactiva.
Tem como objectivos dar a conhecer as diferentes vertentes do trabalho de um stylist, conhecer as funções de um consultor de moda, perceber em que consiste o coolhunting e a importância da internet na moda hoje em dia, assim como aprender a trabalhar em equipa numa sessão fotográfica com fotógrafo, maquilhadora e modelo profissionais.

Today I'm bringing you great news, I'm opening a workshop with a friend of mine, Marta Fonseca, in my former university ESAD in Matosinhos, of coolhunting and fashion styling.
The workshop consists of giving a vision on fashion from the creation and discovery of trends, coolhunting, to the creative process of the fashion stylist, in a dynamic and interactive way.
In the workshop our main goals are to get you to know the different aspects of a stylist's work, to know the role of an image consultant, understand the meaning and what coolhunting entails and the importance of the Internet in fashion nowadays, as well as learn how to work as a team on a photo shoot with professional photographer, make up artist and model.

Prada at Cannes

A moda está presente em Cannes e não só nos vestidos e fatos deslumbrantes que as celebridades vestem pelo Sul de França, mas também em filme.
A Prada surpreendeu ao apresentar uma curta metragem de apenas 3 minutos e meio realizada pelo aclamado realizador Roman Polanski e protagonizado por Helena Bonham Carter e Ben Kingsley.
A curta está intitulada como "A Therapy" e é divertida e original e leva-nos de uma forma bastante interessante à mensagem final.

Fashion is present at Cannes and not only on the stunning dresses and suits from the stars at the South of France, but also on film.
Prada surprised  everyone by presenting a short film of only 3minutes and a half directed by the controversial and acclaimed director Roman Polanski and starring Helena Bonham Carter and Ben Kingsley.
The short film is called "A Therapy" and it's fun and quirky and leads us in a very entertaining way to the final message.

A look back at Gossip Girl

O fim da Gossip Girl, série que captou as atenções do mundo inteiro e que teve grande influência na moda de rua, já está programado. Depois de 5 temporadas, Gossip Girl vai ter uma 6ª e ultima temporada de 11 episódios.
Eu tenho que dizer que, na minha opinião, é a altura ideal para lhe dar um fim, tendo em conta que a série já viu melhores dias. Apesar de a continuar a seguir atentamente, a verdade é que já não é tão envolvente e cativante como nas primeiras temporadas, em que ficava ansiosamente à espera que a próxima semana chegasse para saber o que ia acontecer no próximo episódio.
A personagem da Serena é a mais aborrecida de sempre neste momento, a Blair apesar de continuar a ser a minha preferida já não é o que era e o mesmo acontece com o Chuck, o Nate continua a ser a cara bonita do programa, mas sem acrescentar muito à história.
Resta saber com quem irá acabar Blair (o meu voto vai para o Chuck, claro). Será que a Serena finalmente vai descobrir o que quer fazer da vida e conseguirá ela reconquistar o Dan no final?

Neste sentido, e sendo eu uma atenta seguidora desta série há tantos anos, decidi fazer uma retrospectiva da evolução de estilo das personagens principais ao longo destas 5 temporadas.


The end of Gossip Girl, a show that grabbed the attention of people all around the world and that had a huge influence on street fashion, is already set. After 5 seasons, Gossip Girl will have a sixth and final season of only 11 episodes.
I have to say that, in my opinion, it's the perfect time to end it, taking into account that the show has seen better days. Although Î continue to watch it attentively, the truth is that it's not as captivating as it was on the first seasons, when I anxiously waited for the following week to come to see what would happen in the next episode.
Serena's character is more boring than ever now, Blair in still my favourite but she's not the same, and the same with Chuck, and Nate, well he's the beautiful face on the show but still doesn't add much to the story.
Now we just have to wait and see who will end up with Blair (my vote is on Chuck, of course). Will Serena finally find out what she wants to do in life and will she be able to win Dan back?

Because of this, and being a follower of this show for all these years, I decided to take a look back at the main characters style evolution throughout these 5 seasons.
